Arsenal’s complete squad has been announced for the upcoming match against Manchester United, with decisions made regarding Gabriel Magalhaes and Thomas Partey.

The complete Arsenal squad has been announced for the match against Manchester United, with key decisions made regarding Gabriel Magalhaes and Thomas Partey.

In the latest Arsenal news, Mikel Arteta has finalized a 20-man squad for the clash with Manchester United, although there are still four players in doubt and two confirmed absences.

The Gunners may face a somewhat depleted defense during Wednesday’s match against Manchester United.

However, Arteta has not ruled out the possibility of fielding a nearly full-strength team.

It has become routine for the manager to provide vague and limited updates regarding player injuries, and this situation is no exception.

Arsenal could potentially be missing as many as six players for the fixture, with at least four of them considered key starters.

The true extent of the squad’s availability will likely remain uncertain until just before kick-off at the Emirates Stadium. Arteta stated, “We will have a meeting this afternoon.

We conducted a training session. We monitored and kept some players away from certain activities.

After that meeting, I will determine who is fit and available to start.”

Among those whose status is uncertain is Gabriel Magalhaes.

Arteta advised caution in interpreting his social media post saying “see you on Wednesday” after the victory over West Ham on Saturday.

If he does play, it would not be the first instance of Arteta being non-committal about his fitness before ultimately including him in the starting lineup.

Riccardo Calafiori is more likely to feature, as his substitution at the London Stadium was precautionary rather than due to a new injury.

Arteta noted, “He’s been managing minor issues in recent weeks, especially after a serious knee injury, and he’s progressing well, but we need to be careful with his minutes. Today, we will continue to do the same.”

Regarding Thomas Partey, Mikel Merino, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, the situation remains uncertain.

None of the three participated in the match against West Ham and are likely among those being evaluated for late fitness tests.

Arsenal is fortunate to have depth in midfield with the presence of Jorginho, Ethan Nwaneri, and the returning Martin Odegaard, which will enhance their options.

Mikel Arteta is likely eager to reintegrate as many players as possible into the lineup, particularly for such a significant match.

The 20-man squad for the upcoming game against Manchester United will be announced on Wednesday.
