Arteta has shared a vital injury update, stating that Rice, Calafiori, and two additional players are prepared to play against Palace.

A major injury update from Arteta indicates that Rice, Calafiori, and two other stars are fit and ready for the match against Palace.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has announced a significant injury update ahead of the Premier League match against Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park on Saturday.

The Gunners recently secured a thrilling 3-2 victory over the Eagles in the Carabao Cup quarter-final, overcoming a 1-0 deficit at halftime with an impressive second-half performance, highlighted by Gabriel Jesus’s first club hat-trick.

As Arsenal prepares to face Crystal Palace in the league, Arteta has shared the latest on the fitness of four players.

He confirmed that Declan Rice is set to return to the squad following a minor injury, and Riccardo Calafiori has fully recovered from his groin issue.

Additionally, Arteta mentioned that Takehiro Tomiyasu and Oleksandr Zinchenko are also fit and available for selection in tomorrow’s match.

He stated to reporters (via football.london): “Rice and Calafiori are both available to be in the squad. Tomiyasu and Zinchenko probably available as well.”

This news provides a significant boost for Arsenal, as Arteta aims to establish a winning momentum in the Premier League.

The team has struggled recently, recording consecutive draws against Fulham and Everton, and will need to improve their performance at Selhurst Park.

Facing Crystal Palace will not be straightforward; the Gunners experienced difficulties against them in the first half during their last encounter but managed to turn the tide after halftime.

Palace is currently in good form, having earned nine points from their last five matches, so Arsenal must be at their best to secure another derby victory.

The return of Rice and Calafiori is a considerable advantage for the Gunners, and it would not be surprising if Arteta opts to include them in the starting lineup right away.
