Arsenal appears to be the preferred choice for signing the striker who has netted 18 goals, outpacing Liverpool and Chelsea, with discussions for a £50 million transfer underway.

With 18 goals to his name, the striker is favored to sign with Arsenal, leaving Liverpool and Chelsea behind, as a £50 million deal seems achievable.

Arsenal are reportedly the frontrunners to acquire 18-goal striker Omar Marmoush, outpacing Liverpool and Chelsea in the January transfer window, according to Caught Offside.

Following a significant setback against Crystal Palace, the Gunners are expected to seek attacking reinforcements next month.

Bukayo Saka sustained a hamstring injury during the London derby at Selhurst Park, and manager Mikel Arteta has indicated that Saka may be sidelined for over two months.

This situation may prompt Arsenal to explore the transfer market.

Caught Offside suggests that they are currently ahead of Liverpool and Chelsea in the pursuit of Marmoush, who plays for Eintracht Frankfurt.

Injury Concerns

Arsenal’s season has been marred by numerous injuries, including a notable dip in form when captain Martin Odegaard was out with an ankle injury.

Saka’s absence could pose another significant challenge to their Premier League title ambitions, potentially necessitating an attacking addition in the upcoming transfer window.

The Gunners might consider signing a versatile forward, and Marmoush could be a strategic option.

The 25-year-old is enjoying a standout season with Frankfurt, having scored 18 goals and provided 12 assists in just 24 appearances.

While he has primarily played as a central striker, he is also capable of performing effectively in wide positions.

Frankfurt values Marmoush at £50 million, but a winter transfer may hinge on the player’s situation, as the Bundesliga club might prefer to retain him until the end of the season.

Although Arsenal typically refrains from making significant expenditures during the mid-season transfer window, they may need to reconsider their approach to remain competitive with Liverpool in the title race.

Currently, Arsenal trails the league leaders by nine points after 18 matches, placing them in a position where every game is crucial.

Failing to adequately replace Saka could also jeopardize their chances of success in other competitions.
