Thomas Partey addresses injury concerns ahead of Arsenal’s match against Manchester United.

Thomas Partey has clarified his injury status before the match against Manchester United, offering a transparent message to the Arsenal community.

In a recent statement, Thomas Partey has broken his silence regarding his injury, sharing a clear update with Arsenal fans in anticipation of the Manchester United game.

In the latest updates from Arsenal, Thomas Partey has spoken out regarding his injury status prior to the Premier League encounter at home against Manchester United.

Following Arsenal’s 5-2 victory over West Ham, in which he did not participate due to injury, Partey conveyed a positive message.

Although he played the entire match against Sporting CP, he was sidelined due to a muscular issue, while Mikel Merino was also ruled out with a knee injury.

When announcing the starting lineup for the match against West Ham, Arsenal confirmed: “Mikel Merino (knee issue) and Thomas Partey (muscle issue) will not be available for tonight’s game.”

Manager Mikel Arteta later provided additional insights ahead of the London derby.

In an interview with Sky Sports, Arteta stated: “Unfortunately, both players sustained injuries, and the timing of the match was not favorable for their inclusion in the squad.”

Gabriel also had to exit the match at halftime due to an injury, which Arteta confirmed was a recurrence of a previous issue from Champions League play earlier in the week.

Despite the absence of Merino and Partey for the entire match, and Gabriel for the second half, Arsenal managed to secure a convincing victory over West Ham. Gabriel initiated the scoring, followed by rapid goals from Leandro Trossard, Martin Odegaard, and Kai Havertz.

In a brief turnaround, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Emerson brought West Ham back into contention, but Bukayo Saka quickly restored Arsenal’s lead with a fifth goal before halftime. Surprisingly, the second half saw no goals, allowing Arsenal to claim all three points and enhance their goal difference.

Nevertheless, the emergence of three new injury concerns poses a slight challenge for Arteta moving forward.

Based on his remarks, it seems that Partey and Merino’s injuries are relatively minor, while Gabriel has since shared a positive update regarding his condition ahead of the match against Manchester United.

Partey, although not part of the matchday squad, accompanied the team across the city and closely observed the game. He conveyed his support by sharing Arsenal’s full-time graphic on Instagram, which featured Saka celebrating his goal with a finger to his lips, and he added five shushing face emojis to his story.

Arteta is optimistic about Partey’s return in just three days, but Merino’s availability remains uncertain.

The Spanish international has faced several challenges recently and may be sidelined again for the upcoming match on Wednesday.

Regarding Gabriel, it appears he has not fully recovered from the injury sustained in Portugal, which could result in him missing a Premier League match for the first time in over a year.
