Arsenal has been advised to acquire a Liverpool player as an ideal enhancement for an Arteta favorite who lacks a natural fit in the role.

Arsenal has been advised to pursue Darwin Nunez from Liverpool as a significant enhancement for Mikel Arteta’s squad, particularly as a replacement for Kai Havertz, who has been described as lacking a natural striker’s instinct.

A former Arsenal player elaborated on how Nunez could revitalize their offensive play, especially as Premier League teams have seemingly figured out Arsenal’s tactics.

Having finished as runners-up in the Premier League for the past two seasons, Arsenal has faced challenges in maintaining their competitive edge, currently trailing nine points behind the leaders.

This gap raises concerns about their chances of contending for the title, as history suggests that teams have struggled to recover from such deficits at this point in the season.

Critics have pointed to a deficiency in Arsenal’s attacking prowess. Although Havertz began the season with six goals in his first ten matches, he has since managed only one goal in the following eight games.

Jeremie Aliadiere, a former Arsenal player, has strongly recommended that the club make a concerted effort to acquire Nunez, who has found limited playing time at Liverpool this season.

He stated, “Havertz is not a natural number nine.

He’s performing admirably, but over the course of a full season, including the Champions League and Premier League, we’ve seen that when Arsenal faces difficulties, a player like Jesus could be crucial.

He’s not a traditional number nine; he prefers to engage in the build-up play, which may not be the ideal solution.”

When questioned about the potential of Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres, Aliadiere reiterated his preference for Nunez.

I acknowledge that he is currently with Liverpool, but I am an enormous admirer of Darwin Nunez. I am truly passionate about his game because of his work ethic, his movement, and his relentless determination. I often find myself wishing that Arsenal had a player of his caliber.

I recall discussions during the summer regarding a potential transfer to Arsenal, which thrilled me. I would love to see him in our squad.

A player like him consistently pressures defenders, makes intelligent runs behind the line, and stretches the defense, benefiting the entire team even if the focus isn’t solely on him.

Arsenal’s tactics have become predictable, and Arteta needs to diversify his approach.

Aliadiere believes that the team’s attack has become too reliant on wide players, neglecting the central strikers and the middle of the pitch.

He suggests that Arteta’s use of a ‘false No.9’ formation has been figured out by opposing teams.

When asked if Arsenal lacks a traditional striker, Aliadiere responded, “Having both types of strikers is beneficial.”

This season, teams have adapted to Arsenal’s style. They understand our play, including how the left-back moves into midfield, and have developed strategies to counter us.

We are no longer dominating matches as we did last year. Although we didn’t win the Premier League, we were consistently overpowering teams.

Currently, while we are securing victories, they often come with difficulty, and grinding out results is essential for a successful season.

When things aren’t going well, it’s crucial to have a Plan B. Substituting Havertz for Trossard does not constitute a true Plan B in my view.

The personnel remains the same, and the style of play does not significantly change; it merely depends on whether Trossard has a better performance on that particular day.

We may indeed need a traditional number nine to enhance our options.

In response to inquiries regarding Nunez’s inconsistency in scoring, Aliadiere, now 41, remarked: “People may argue that he requires multiple opportunities to find the net and that he isn’t the most proficient finisher, but that doesn’t concern me.

To me, his effort, work ethic, and the excitement he brings to the game are invaluable.”

Aliadiere further stated: “It’s hard to determine what is needed to achieve success. Our club is making significant strides.

The work Arteta has accomplished is remarkable and commendable.

“We are reaching a point where fans are expressing the desire for immediate victories, as we have been competing and improving consistently.

Our goal is to see that Premier League trophy at the end of the season.”
