Key player makes his comeback from injury as Arteta implements Four changes | Predicted Arsenal XI against Newcastle United.

With the return of an essential player from injury, Arteta has opted for four alterations in the predicted Arsenal lineup against Newcastle United.

Arsenal is set to resume their Premier League campaign this weekend with a visit to St. James’ Park to face Newcastle United.

After securing only one point from their last two league encounters, Mikel Arteta’s team cannot afford another setback in Saturday’s matchday 10.

Following a successful midweek victory over Preston with a significantly altered lineup, the manager is expected to have most of his key players back in action.

Below is a preview of Arsenal’s potential lineup against Eddie Howe’s squad.

Goalkeeper – David Raya is anticipated to reclaim his position in goal after being rested on Wednesday, allowing 18-year-old Tommy Setford to make a rare start in the EFL Cup.

Defenders – William Saliba is set to return after missing last weekend’s draw with Liverpool.

He will partner with Gabriel in defense, who appears to have recovered from a minor knee issue. Arteta will be hopeful that his Brazilian defender is fit for the match.

Jurrien Timber will revert to the left side of the defense after playing as a right-back against Preston. With Ben White facing a knee injury, Thomas Partey may step in as Arsenal’s right-back.

Rice, Havertz, and Saka are back

Midfielders – Mikel Merino, who netted his first goal for Arsenal last weekend against Liverpool, played the first half of the Carabao Cup match against Preston.

Should Partey be required at right-back, Merino is likely to keep his spot in the starting lineup alongside the £105 million signing Declan Rice.

Leandro Trossard, who operated as the number 10 against Liverpool, is expected to maintain that role against Newcastle, despite growing calls for young talent Ethan Nwaneri to receive more playing time following an impressive performance midweek.

Bukayo Saka, who contributed both a goal and an assist in Arsenal’s last Premier League outing, will occupy the right wing, while Gabriel Martinelli is set to continue on the left.

Forward – Gabriel Jesus found the net during Arsenal’s 3-0 victory against Preston in their midweek cup match; however, it is anticipated that Kai Havertz will be favored in the starting lineup for Saturday’s game.
