Alexis Mac Allister has indicated that he is likely to be available for the match against Chelsea.

After some uncertainty regarding his participation due to a training absence, Mac Allister seems to have reassured fans about his readiness for the game.

He did not take part in outdoor training at the AXA Training Centre on Friday, having entered the international break with an adductor injury.

This situation arose following comments from Arne Slot, who mentioned “a few issues” concerning the fitness of his squad, with Kostas Tsimikas also being a potential doubt for the 4.30pm kickoff on Sunday.

Given Mac Allister’s significance to the team, concerns about his fitness had caused frustration among supporters, especially since he continued to play for Argentina despite his injury.

However, the midfielder appears to have confirmed his participation against Chelsea through a post on his Instagram story.

Mac Allister has provided a unique preview image for the upcoming match at Anfield, a practice typically reserved for squad members.

The 25-year-old is anticipated to be included in the squad, with a strong possibility of him starting, as he participated in individual gym training on Friday instead of missing practice altogether.

His presence is a significant advantage, as only three players—Virgil van Dijk, Mohamed Salah, and Ryan Gravenberch—have logged more playing time this season.

Mac Allister not only plays a crucial role but also stands out as one of the team’s most reliable performers, contributing significantly both on and off the ball to Slot’s tactical approach.

The head coach is likely to implement several changes for the early evening match, with Caoimhin Kelleher expected to take the starting position due to Alisson’s injury.

Andy Robertson is almost certain to replace Tsimikas at left-back, while Dominik Szoboszlai is likely to step in for either Mac Allister or Curtis Jones in the midfield.

Luis Diaz, who has the opportunity to match Ian Rush’s record for consecutive goals against Chelsea with another score, is poised to take over from Cody Gakpo on the left flank.

Liverpool will officially reveal their starting lineup and substitutes through their social media platforms at 3:15 PM (BST).
