Mikel Arteta has praised the exceptional talent of an Arsenal player in training, stating that he can compete with anyone.
According to Mikel Arteta, the Arsenal talent has shown remarkable ability in training, claiming he can hold his own against any player.
Currently, Arsenal is performing well, positioned third in the Premier League and also making strides in the Champions League and Carabao Cup.
The team has shown significant improvement over the past few seasons, consistently being in contention for the title for three consecutive years.
This summer, Arsenal made impactful signings to enhance their squad, including Riccardo Calafiori and Mikel Merino, who have strengthened the defense and midfield.
Just before the transfer window closed, they made headlines with a notable loan signing that generated considerable buzz in the football community.
Arsenal finalized their summer transfer dealings by acquiring Raheem Sterling from Chelsea, bringing him to the Emirates Stadium.
Sterling is gradually being integrated into the team, having made five appearances across all competitions, totaling 184 minutes of play.
Despite this limited time on the pitch, the 29-year-old has already showcased his elite skills, contributing a goal and an assist in the Carabao Cup match against Bolton.
Ahead of Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League match against Bournemouth, Arteta has shared an intriguing insight regarding Sterling.
Raheem Sterling shines in Arsenal training
In a recent pre-match press conference, Arteta praised Sterling’s performance in training, describing him as “exceptional” and highlighting his ability to compete with any player when in form.
“He is currently in a great place – his recent training sessions have been outstanding,” Arteta shared with The Mirror.
“Raheem, at his peak, can certainly hold his own against any player.”
Arteta’s potential to transform Sterling like Havertz
After Arsenal acquired Kai Havertz, it took some time for him to find his rhythm, but he has now become an essential asset for the team.
Similarly, Sterling faced challenges at Chelsea, yet he is already demonstrating his potential to contribute significantly to Arsenal.
There is little doubt that Arteta has the capability to unlock Sterling’s talent, just as he did with Havertz, and it is hoped that Arsenal can make Chelsea reconsider their decision to let him go.
