Arsenal faces yet another concern regarding player injuries during the international break following an update on Bukayo Saka.

Gabriel Martinelli has now emerged as a potential injury worry during this period.

The international break has brought additional injury concerns for Arsenal, as an update on Bukayo Saka raises alarms, and Gabriel Martinelli has now become the most recent player to worry fans.

If you’ve ever speculated about the most unusual way an Arsenal player might receive a red card, I had a rather bizarre dream this morning. In this dream, we found ourselves in a European final.

As the match commenced, a ball-boy unexpectedly ran onto the pitch to challenge for a header near the sideline. Simultaneously, Kai Havertz attempted to kick the ball and inadvertently struck the ball-boy in the back.

The ball-boy fell dramatically, reminiscent of Michael Owen, while simultaneously crying out in pain, prompting the referee to issue a red card to Havertz within the first minute! I was infuriated.

My immediate reaction was to draft a lengthy blog post declaring my disillusionment with football, which I later realized had turned into a recipe for tomato sauce to accompany pasta.

This only added to my frustration. Is this dream merely absurdity, or could it be a premonition? Only time will reveal the truth.

In terms of injury updates, there is news regarding Gabriel Martinelli from TNT Sports Brazil. The report states (with original emphasis):

EXCLUSIVE! MARTINELLI ARRIVES AT THE HOTEL ACCOMPANIED BY THE NATIONAL TEAM DOCTOR, AFTER AN EXAM! The forward experienced discomfort in his tendon and left for an examination following training on Sunday.

Initially, it does not appear to be serious, but the player is awaiting further results.

While the details are somewhat vague, further investigation indicates a potential calf issue, putting his participation in Brazil’s match against Peru on Wednesday morning in doubt.

With Bukayo Saka likely sidelined for the upcoming game against Bournemouth this weekend, it would be a significant setback if Martinelli were also unavailable.

This is particularly unfortunate, as he had recently regained his form, contributing 2 goals and 2 assists in the last 3 matches.

One can easily picture Mikel Arteta waking up this morning, checking his phone, and reacting with dismay at the breakfast table.

Declan Rice took to the field last night for England, contributing to their 3-1 victory over Finland.

He found the back of the net, skillfully finishing at the near post following an impressive setup by Ollie Watkins.

Notably, Rice covered significant ground, as he was out of frame when Watkins received the ball near the halfway line, demonstrating remarkable stamina in the 84th minute.

Now, it’s time for him to relax at home, settle into his armchair, and enjoy a couple of days of rest before we call on him again.

This evening, William Saliba and Leandro Trossard will face off as Belgium hosts France, while Riccardo Calafiori is expected to play for Italy.

The final two players, the Gabriels, will be in action for Brazil tomorrow, but we will await an update on Martinelli in the meantime.
