Harry Redknapp expresses his candid forecast for today’s pivotal North London derby showdown, stating, “I can’t see.”

Ahead of today’s essential North London derby, Harry Redknapp shares his unvarnished prediction.

The upcoming North London derby between Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal is finely balanced, with the pressure seemingly resting on the home team.

Reflecting on last season, the burden to secure a victory primarily fell on Arsenal as they pursued the Premier League title.

However, with Mikel Arteta likely missing two key midfield players, it now appears that Tottenham must seize this opportunity to win.

Ange Postecoglou’s squad has had a mixed start to the season, accumulating only four points from three matches.

While Spurs showed promise in their encounters against Leicester City and Newcastle United, they were unable to secure victories in either away game.

Postecoglou will be looking for a performance reminiscent of their 4-0 triumph over Everton at the end of August when they play at home.

In comments made to The Sun prior to the derby, Harry Redknapp, a seasoned observer of this rivalry, shared his insights on the match’s dynamics.

He acknowledged the absence of key Arsenal players and noted that the expectations have shifted towards Spurs.

Redknapp remarked, “With Declan Rice suspended, Mikel Merino injured, and Martin Odegaard sidelined for three weeks due to an ankle injury, Arsenal’s midfield is significantly weakened against their fiercest rivals.

“This presents a tremendous opportunity for Tottenham, and I’m sure they are eager to capitalize on it.”

Few clubs can boast a midfield trio as strong as James Maddison, Yves Bissouma, and Pape Sarr.

“However, Arteta’s squad depth is impressive, making Jorginho a valuable addition to the team.

“Despite the absence of key players, I find it hard to envision Arsenal suffering a defeat.

“They might have to accept a draw, but I doubt it will be any worse than that.

“This scenario wouldn’t bode well for Ange Postecoglou, as he is likely to face pressure this season.

“Last year started off well for him, but the stakes are higher now—he must aim for a top-four finish or secure a trophy.”

Micky van de Ven and Dominic Solanke are both available to face Arsenal.

While Arsenal may struggle due to their missing players against Spurs, the hosts have received positive news ahead of Sunday’s match.

Micky van de Ven is fit and has been training during the international break.

Additionally, Dominic Solanke appears to be ready, based on Postecoglou’s comments at the press conference.

However, with Arsenal missing Rice and Odegaard, Spurs might also be without Yves Bissouma in their midfield, pending a late fitness test.

This match is critical for both teams, and neither side will approach the 2 PM kickoff with the intention of settling for a draw, no matter the circumstances.
