Liverpool is reportedly pursuing a “great” talent, earning £386,000 weekly, to serve as a free replacement for Salah.

It has been reported that Liverpool intends to sign a “great” player, who earns £386,000 per week, as a free substitute for Salah.

Liverpool faces a significant challenge in the upcoming months regarding the contract situations of three key players: Virgil van Dijk, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Mohamed Salah.

All three contracts are set to expire in 2025, necessitating important decisions from the club.

Among these, retaining Trent, the 25-year-old defender, appears to be the most straightforward choice, given his promising future with the team.

The more complex decisions revolve around Salah and Van Dijk. At 32 and 33 years old, respectively, it remains uncertain whether they wish to extend their tenures with Liverpool beyond this season.

Consequently, the club seems to be exploring potential successors for Salah.

According to TDF, Liverpool is considering a move for Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane as a free transfer replacement for the Egyptian forward next summer.

Sane, who previously played for Manchester City, currently commands a weekly salary of approximately £386,000 at Bayern.

To facilitate a transfer to Anfield, he may need to accept a pay cut. Recently, former Liverpool player Jermaine Pennant suggested that Sane would be an ideal replacement for Salah, highlighting his experience and skill set.

Pennant remarked, “You need someone with experience to replace Mohamed Salah, like Leroy Sane.

For me, that would be a great signing; he has pace and can cut in from either side.” Since his time at Manchester City, Sane’s playing style has evolved.

While he once operated as a traditional left winger, he now resembles Salah more closely, often playing on the right and cutting in onto his stronger left foot.

This adaptation makes him a compelling option for Liverpool as they consider the future of their attacking lineup.

This summer, Liverpool acquired Federico Chiesa, an Italian winger capable of playing on both flanks.

The pair could effectively fill the void left by Salah at Anfield if he departs the club at the conclusion of the season.

It remains to be seen whether the Reds will pursue Sane once his contract expires.
