Arsenal has reached a consensus on personal terms with a Spanish goalkeeper, who is viewed as a possible substitute for Aaron Ramsdale.

An agreement on personal terms has been reached by Arsenal with a Spanish goalkeeper, who is being considered as a backup option for Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal has reportedly come to a verbal agreement on personal terms with Spanish goalkeeper Joan Garcia, who is being considered as a potential alternative to Aaron Ramsdale.

Arsenal aims to bolster their defensive capabilities with this potential acquisition.

The Gunners have shown interest in Garcia throughout the summer, and it appears that they have successfully negotiated terms with the 23-year-old player.

Garcia recently returned to action for Espanyol against Real Valladolid after winning a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

The agreement signifies Arsenal’s commitment to strengthening their goalkeeping options.

According to Fabrizio Romano, a deal has been in place for some time, although Arsenal has not yet initiated discussions with Espanyol regarding a transfer.

Arsenal has identified Garcia as their primary target should Ramsdale depart in the final days of the transfer window.

While Espanyol is aware of Arsenal’s interest, no official bid has been made, and the situation remains contingent on Ramsdale’s status.

The transfer depends on Aaron Ramsdale leaving the club, as Garcia is poised to serve as a backup to David Raya.

Wolves have shown interest in Ramsdale, and it is anticipated that he will depart within the last ten days of the transfer window.

Los Pericos are reportedly seeking €25 million for Garcia, who has four years left on a recently extended contract.

Real Madrid has also expressed interest in Garcia after scouting him, but given the lack of progress regarding Andriy Lunin, it appears improbable that they will directly challenge Arsenal for his signature this summer.
