Liverpool transfer news : The upcoming three transfers that Richard Hughes may finalize for Liverpool this month following the £52 million agreement…
Following the £52 million transfer, there are three additional signings that Richard Hughes may pursue for Liverpool this month.
As the transfer window approaches its conclusion, Liverpool is keen to finalize their business, with a primary focus on securing Martin Zubimendi.
Liverpool still has additional transfers to finalize before the window closes, and Richard Hughes is likely to focus on these next three targets.
Currently, Liverpool is prioritizing the completion of a deal for Martin Zubimendi, although challenges remain as Real Sociedad is actively trying to convince him to stay with their club.
While Richard Hughes concentrates on this particular transfer, he will also be looking to secure three other signings before the summer transfer window concludes.
In addition to acquiring a holding midfielder, Hughes has other squad needs that require attention, and he is committed to finalizing at least three more transactions following the acquisition of Zubimendi.
Which players might Liverpool pursue after securing Zubimendi?
Earlier this week, Richard Hughes visited Spain not only to finalize a deal for Zubimendi but also to engage in discussions with Valencia regarding the possible transfer of Giorgi Mamardashvili.
Liverpool remains interested in this deal, with plans to loan the Georgian international to Bournemouth, while Leicester City and a potential return loan to Valencia have also been considered.
Should the Zubimendi deal be finalized, Anfield Watch reports that Liverpool is likely to pursue Mamardashvili as well.
In addition to the Georgian goalkeeper, Hughes is also focusing on acquiring a center-back. However, before Liverpool proceeds with signing another defender, the club aims to clarify the future of Sepp van den Berg.
FC Liverpool has consistently maintained their interest in Maximilian Beier, with discussions taking place in recent days and weeks.
However, it has been confirmed today that Beier has made a definitive choice to join Borussia Dortmund, prioritizing them over other options. The negotiations are still in progress to finalize the agreement.
Arne Slot holds a favorable view of the Dutch international and would be pleased to retain him as a squad member.
Nevertheless, Van den Berg is seeking a more prominent position within the team and is open to a permanent transfer away from the club, provided that potential suitors meet his £20 million asking price.
Liverpool’s list of center-back targets includes players like Piero Hincapie, and they have recently shown interest in Antonio Silva as well. In addition to strengthening their defense, Liverpool is actively searching for an attacker.
The recruitment team, led by Hughes, aims to enhance Arne Slot’s offensive capabilities and has reportedly set their sights on German international Maximilian Beier, although his likelihood of joining Borussia Dortmund remains high.
He is just one of several candidates, with Anthony Gordon also being a significant target for the club.
