Liverpool prepared to trigger release clause and finalize £50.5million deal for new signing.

Liverpool is reportedly prepared to meet the £50.5million release clause to secure the signing of Takefusa Kubo from Real Sociedad, as per the latest reports from Spain.

Diario AS has reported that the Merseyside club has shown a keen interest in the Japanese playmaker, with talks of intensifying their pursuit.

Real Sociedad is currently on a pre-season tour in Japan, with Kubo as part of the squad.

Sources in Spain suggest that Liverpool is willing to pay the £50.5million fee to bring Kubo to Anfield in the upcoming summer transfer window.

Liverpool has been linked with the 23-year-old for quite some time, but now they are making a strong push to secure his signing.

If Liverpool does end up signing Kubo for 60 million euros, then Real Madrid will receive a fee of 27 million euros, with the remaining amount going to Sociedad.

When they sold the winger in a deal worth 6 million euros, the Spanish and European Champions included a 50 percent sell-on clause.

Kubo, a natural right winger, could potentially cover for Mohamed Salah and eventually replace him at Anfield.

Last season, Kubo directly contributed to 11 goals in La Liga, while Salah contributed to 28 goals in the Premier League.

Liverpool needs to bring in a world-class player or someone with world-class potential to replace Salah.

Although Kubo has yet to hit his peak, the question remains whether he is good enough to be the first-choice right winger for Liverpool.
