Liverpool is not expected to announce their initial summer acquisitions even though they have reached agreements on two deals.

Liverpool have finalized agreements to bring in two promising young talents this summer, but supporters may have to wait a bit longer before the signings are officially announced.

Despite ongoing negotiations, the Reds have kept a low profile in the transfer market, leaving fans feeling impatient for any news.

Arne Slot is set to lead a depleted squad to the United States this week, with 11 key players missing due to international commitments over the summer.

The uncertainty remains for several players heading to the US, as their future at the club is still up in the air – whether they will move elsewhere or continue with the first team or return to the academy.

However, there has been minimal progress in terms of new arrivals, with only the signings of teenagers Alvin Ayman and Rio Ngumoha from Wolves and Chelsea respectively being confirmed by Liverpool so far.

It is expected that substantial fees will be involved in both deals. Despite this, fans are unlikely to receive official confirmation from the club for either signing in the usual manner for first-team additions.

It would come as a surprise if the club’s official website or social media channels share photographs of either midfielder Ayman or winger Ngumoha holding their shirts aloft at the AXA Training Centre.

Instead, they should follow the example set by last year’s signings of Trey Nyoni and Amara Nallo and quietly assimilate into the youth ranks.

Neither Ayman nor Ngumoha have participated in any pre-season games for the U18s yet, as Marc Bridge-Wilkinson’s squad is currently in Germany preparing to face Bayern Munich on Thursday.

This delay is a result of the lengthy procedures involved in youth signings, with up to four weeks needed before the Premier League approves a deal.

Moreover, since both players will be joining Liverpool as scholars, compensation must be paid to their former clubs.

While terms can be agreed upon with the players in advance, this process can prove to be challenging.

If clubs fail to reach an agreement on a fair fee, the matter may be referred to an impartial tribunal in the future to decide on the amount of compensation.

However, there seem to be no unexpected obstacles in Liverpool’s signing of Ayman and Ngumoha.

Despite fans’ eagerness for new signings at Anfield, the club is unlikely to introduce these specific additions with any grand gestures.
