Liverpool’s interest in Kvaratskhelia gets a boost as agent announces: ‘He is on the verge of signing’.

Breakthrough for Kvaratskhelia, a player connected to Liverpool, as agent reveals: ‘He is going to make the move’.

A significant development has emerged regarding the potential transfer of Napoli’s Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, as his agent has confirmed his readiness to commit to a new contract.

Corriere dello Sport has reported on this latest development, quoting the player’s agent who emphasized that Napoli now holds the key to the player’s future.

This represents a remarkable change of events for the player linked with Liverpool, especially considering his father’s previous statement indicating his desire to leave Napoli in the upcoming transfer window.

‘Kvaradona’ expressed dissatisfaction with the frequent changes in coaching staff, as the Serie A champions had four different coaches in a single year.

Antonio Conte, the newly appointed head coach at the Diego Maradona Stadium, has recognized Kvaratskhelia as a crucial player for his team. Recent discussions have been held regarding a contract renewal.

The 23-year-old is currently under contract with Napoli until 2027 and had previously voiced concerns about the significant difference between his salary and that of his strike partner, Victor Osimhen.

While the Nigerian earns a salary of over €10 million, Kvara’s contract, which was signed in 2022, is valued at €1.5 million.

Paris Saint-Germain’s €200m bid to acquire both Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen has been rejected by Napoli.

Kvaratskhelia’s club has declared him non-transferable, and his agent, Mamuka Jugeli, has stated that a new contract offer is being considered.

Discussions between the player’s representatives and Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis, took place in Germany during Euro 2024 this summer.

Another discussion reportedly occurred in Milan last week between Kvaratskhelia’s representative and the new sporting director Giovanni Manna.

Despite Napoli’s absence from the Champions League next season due to a lackluster title defense, Kvaratskhelia remains determined to bring home trophies for his team.

“Kvaratskhelia is focused on winning the championship without the Champions League,” Jugeli informed Russian journalist Nobel Arustamyan.

“The future of everything lies in the hands of Napoli’s president. If he considers selling Kvara, it will happen. If he desires a contract extension, it will be granted.”

After the initial discussions, Napoli is currently waiting for a response from the winger’s representatives.

Liverpool, PSG, and Barcelona are all interested in Kvaratskhelia, especially with uncertainties surrounding Luis Diaz’s future and a potential vacancy on the left-wing in Arne Slot’s team.

Nonetheless, if a new contract is finalized, it appears that sporting director Richard Hughes will need to explore other options for his premier high-profile acquisition.
