In order to create space in the squad and generate funds for potential high-profile signings, Arsenal is looking to offload several fringe players.

One of the notable departures is midfielder Thomas Partey, who is reportedly nearing a lucrative move to Saudi Arabia.

TEAMtalk reported exclusively on Thursday that the Saudi Public Investment Fund has reopened negotiations with Partey, after failing to secure his transfer a year ago.

The PIF is the owner of the four prominent Saudi clubs, namely Al-Nassr, Al-Hilal, Al-Ahli, and Al-Ittihad.

Arsenal is determined to sell Partey, who faced injury issues and only managed to make 16 appearances last season. As his current contract expires in 2025 and there are no signs of a new deal, the club is considering a sale.

According to reports, Arsenal could potentially earn between £20m-£25m from Partey’s transfer, while the player himself is set to receive a lucrative offer in the Middle East, securing a significant payday towards the later stages of his career.

In addition, Football Insider has stated that Arsenal is willing to entertain offers for Emile Smith Rowe, with any bids starting at £30m.

The significance of the homegrown attacker at Arsenal has significantly decreased due to multiple injury setbacks in recent seasons.

With the addition of players like Leandro Trossard and Kai Havertz, Smith Rowe’s prospects for playing time in the forward position look grim. Moreover, he has no chance of overtaking club captain Martin Odegaard as the primary playmaker in a deeper role.
