Bruno Guimaraes has made it clear that he is not in a hurry to depart from Newcastle United during this summer transfer window.

However, he has acknowledged that he is uncertain about the potential impact of Financial Fair Play on the club.

According to reliable sources, Newcastle must generate more than £30m through player sales in order to comply with the Premier League’s Profit and Sustainability Rules.

As a result, several clubs have shown interest in acquiring talented individuals such as Guimaraes and striker Alexander Isak.

Newcastle is reportedly prioritizing the retention of Isak over Guimaraes, although they still have a desire to keep hold of Guimaraes despite interest from Arsenal and Manchester City.

However, Guimaraes has made it clear that he has no intentions of leaving Newcastle this summer.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Guimaraes stated, “Regarding my future, I honestly leave it in God’s hands. I have a contract with Newcastle, and I am extremely content. I am aware of the club’s admiration for me and the contributions I have made.

My future is truly in God’s hands,” he informed TNT Sports. “I am under contract with Newcastle, and I am content. I am aware of the club’s appreciation for me and the contributions I have made.

In essence, I am under contract and satisfied. The uncertainties surrounding Financial Fair Play are acknowledged, but I can confidently say that I am content.”

“In summary, I am under contract and happy. I cannot predict what may occur, considering the Financial Fair Play regulations, but I can confidently say that I am content.”

Guimaraes’ contract includes a release clause valued at £100m, however, there is an informal agreement in place that would permit him to transfer to a Champions League team, such as Arsenal or City, for a fee of £80m.

Manager Eddie Howe mentioned in April, “The presence of the release clause was a well-thought-out and organized decision by the club.

We aim to avoid ongoing speculation, as it is not beneficial for the player or for us. It is clear that we are keen on retaining him and I envision constructing our team around his abilities.

“His performance has been consistently impressive, and he appears content and settled. He must be contemplating a hectic summer ahead, during which we hope to progress as a team, with him playing a significant role.

However, the final decision is not within our control, so we will have to wait and see.”
