Arsenal is now ready to pay £51m for a forward who is believed to be of higher quality than Erling Haaland…
New report suggests that Arsenal is now prepared to offer £51m for a striker who is being touted as “better than Erling Haaland”. The Gunners have been on an extensive search for a new striker, with their links ranging from Victor Osimhen to Ivan Toney to Alexander Isak.
However, as the summer transfer window draws closer, Arsenal’s focus seems to have narrowed down, and they appear to be highly interested in one particular center-forward.
According to TuttoJuve, Arsenal is willing to invest £51m to secure the signing of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna in the upcoming transfer window.
Arsenal’s quest for a new striker has led them on an extensive journey.
From Victor Osimhen to Ivan Toney to Alexander Isak, Arsenal has been associated with nearly every striker in Europe.
Nevertheless, as the summer transfer window draws near, the Gunners’ list of potential strikers is narrowing down, and it appears that they have a strong interest in one particular center-forward.
Reports suggest that Arsenal is prepared to shell out £51m to secure the signing of Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna this summer.
The ex-Bayern Munich player has been in exceptional form in Serie A this season, showcasing his skills as a highly versatile striker. His abilities make him an ideal addition to Arsenal’s squad. However, finalizing this transfer will pose a significant challenge.
According to sources at TBR, Juventus is likely to pursue Zirkzee if they appoint Thiago Motta as their new manager. Additionally, Bayern Munich holds a buy-back clause, allowing them to re-sign Zirkzee this summer if they desire.
Joshua Zirkzee is a highly sought-after player, and Arsenal is prepared to make a substantial financial offer to secure his services. However, whether or not they can successfully acquire him remains uncertain.
Regarded as being even better than Erling Haaland, Zirkzee is in high demand among clubs.
Juventus and Bayern Munich’s presence in the competition could pose a challenge for Arsenal in securing the deal.
Zirkzee’s familiarity with Serie A and the Bundesliga compared to the Premier League makes joining Juve or Bayern a more secure option.
However, considering the strong competition at Juventus and Bayern Munich with Vlahovic and Kane leading the lines, Zirkzee might have a better opportunity for consistent first-team action at Arsenal, especially with Gabriel Jesus’ performance decline this season.
Zirkzee’s high demand makes his destination this summer an intriguing prospect.
