According to Football Insider, Liverpool is said to be expressing a strong interest in acquiring the services of Burnley’s talented player, James Trafford, during the summer transfer window.

Trafford, who joined Burnley last summer after progressing through Manchester City’s youth system, showcased promising performances earlier this season under the guidance of Vincent Kompany.

Unfortunately, he has recently lost his spot in the starting lineup to Arijanet Muric. Nevertheless, Liverpool has been sufficiently impressed by Trafford’s performances and has now revealed their desire to secure his signature in the upcoming transfer window.

Football Insider’s report states that Liverpool is looking into the possibility of signing a new goalkeeper to serve as a backup for Alisson, with Caoimhim Kelleher’s future at Anfield uncertain. The club has set their sights on Trafford as a potential option.

Liverpool has been closely following Trafford’s progress this season and has been impressed with the Englishman. They have now expressed a solid interest in bringing the Burnley player to Anfield.

Trafford, who is 21 years old, made a £15m move to Burnley last summer. With three years remaining on his current contract, Burnley is in a strong position to demand a significant fee if they decide to let him go in the upcoming transfer window.

Trafford, who stands at an impressive height of 6ft 6in, possesses great talent and could prove to be a valuable addition for the Merseyside club if they decide to acquire him.

It remains to be seen whether the Anfield club will make a definitive move to secure his services in the upcoming transfer window, especially if Kelleher departs from the team.

On the other hand, Liverpool’s chances of winning the Premier League title seem slim after only managing to gather four points from their last four matches.

As a result, it appears unlikely that Jurgen Klopp will lead his team to the league title in his final season at Anfield. Nonetheless, Liverpool will be determined to finish the season on a high note by winning their remaining fixtures.
