Andy Robertson calls for Liverpool to never give up and demands perfection from the attackers…

Andy Robertson insists that Liverpool will continue to battle on despite recent setbacks in the title race.

The team, which was leading the Premier League just two weeks ago, has now dropped to third place following disappointing results in their last two matches.

After a disappointing draw against Manchester United, Jurgen Klopp’s squad suffered a surprising 1-0 loss to Crystal Palace on Sunday.

Although Arsenal, who are in second place, also lost later in the day, Liverpool still trails behind Manchester City by two points with only six games left in the season.

Robertson expressed his thoughts on the club’s website, emphasizing the unwavering determination of the team.

He acknowledged the frustration of currently being in third place and relying on other teams to drop points. The frustration stems from the fact that they shouldn’t have been in this position in the first place. However, they accept the reality of the situation and understand that they must be flawless moving forward.

Any more dropped points are not an option. They will focus on their own performance and see how the other two teams fare. Unfortunately, the loss to Palace added to Liverpool’s disappointing week, which also included a 3-0 defeat against Atalanta in the Europa League quarter-final first leg.

They will now travel to Italy for the second leg on Thursday, followed by consecutive away games in the Premier League against Fulham, Everton, and West Ham.

Left-back Robertson, who made an impressive goal-line clearance to prevent Liverpool from falling 2-0 behind after Eze’s opener, emphasized the need to maintain a positive mindset.

In the changing room, it is important to lift everyone’s spirits, as there are many individuals who may be feeling down due to missed chances or mistakes made on the field.

We regroup, refocus, and give our all once again on Thursday.

Crystal Palace’s victory, which marks only their second win under new manager Oliver Glasner, has alleviated their concerns of being dragged into the relegation battle.

The Eagles currently sit in 14th place, holding an eight-point lead over Luton in 18th place. Additionally, they have a game in hand over most of the teams below them.

Glasner emphasized, “I don’t check the standings daily because I trust that we will earn points through our strong performances.

My main focus is on our performance, identifying areas for improvement, recognizing our players’ strengths, and finding ways to maintain a solid defense while creating scoring opportunities.

I am confident that if we continue to perform well, we will secure enough points to remain in the league. Our primary goal is to achieve that.”
