Arsenal starting XI against Brighton in a 4-2-3-1 formation Two key players expected to be sidelined as Mikel Arteta makes 5 big changes…
Arteta implements 5 significant alterations, with Saka absent | Predicted Arsenal starting XI (4-2-3-1) against Brighton.
Arsenal are set to face Brighton & Hove Albion at the Amex Stadium in today’s Premier League fixture. The Gunners are trailing Liverpool by two points in the standings and will be looking to secure a win to stay in the title race.
The Gunners are currently trailing Liverpool by two points in the standings and they will be looking to maintain the pressure by securing a victory over the Seagulls.
A win against Brighton could temporarily propel Mikel Arteta’s side to the top of the table. However, Liverpool will not be in action until Sunday afternoon when they face Manchester United away.
As we approach the game, we expect to see several changes from the previous 2-0 victory over Luton Town.
The team is likely to line up in a 4-2-3-1 formation.
In goal, David Raya is expected to retain his position as the club’s preferred choice over Aaron Ramsdale. Raya recently achieved his 11th clean sheet of the league season against the Hatters and will be aiming for another shut-out against the Seagulls on their turf.
There is expected to be a solitary change in the backline for the upcoming match. Ben White, William Saliba, and Gabriel Magalhaes are confirmed to start, while Oleksandr Zinchenko may be replaced by the in-form Jakub Kiwior at left-back.
In the midfield, Thomas Partey and Emile Smith Rowe are likely to make way for Jorginho and Declan Rice respectively.
They will partner with Martin Odegaard. Despite Smith Rowe’s impressive performance in the previous game, it is unlikely that he will start.
Bukayo Saka was absent from yesterday’s training session due to a thigh issue. With him sidelined, Gabriel Jesus could start on the right wing instead of Reiss Nelson.
Gabriel Martinelli is a strong contender to replace Leandro Trossard on the left side of Arsenal’s attack.
Kai Havertz is expected to feature as the main striker once again. The German has been in excellent form, contributing to eight goals in his last six league appearances. His aerial threat in and around the box will pose a challenge for Brighton defenders.
