Declan Rice was blown away by the 24-year-old Arsenal player against Burnley, saying, “So so good.”
Declan Rice was thoroughly impressed by the exceptional performance of a 24-year-old Arsenal player during their match against Burnley.
The Gunners showcased their dominance by securing a resounding 5-0 victory, which allowed them to narrow the gap with Liverpool at the top of the Premier League table.
Arsenal’s recent form has been outstanding, as they previously triumphed over West Ham with a remarkable 6-0 win. This match against Burnley was no exception, with the team delivering a classy display and numerous standout individual performances.
The Gunners’ captain, Martin Odegaard, wasted no time in opening the scoring within the first five minutes. Additionally, Bukayo Saka showcased his talent by netting his first goal of the day from the penalty spot, following a foul on Leandro Trossard inside the box.
Saka, praised as “outstanding” by Piers Morgan, scored another goal in the second half. Trossard and Kai Havertz also scored as Arsenal delivered a commanding performance at Turf Moor.
Havertz posted on Instagram post-match, saying: “Mission accomplished. Porto, here we come.”
Declan Rice commented: “You were amazing, mate.”
Arsenal continue to have faith in Kai Havertz. The 24-year-old attacker made the switch to the Gunners from Chelsea in a high-profile transfer last summer.
At the beginning of the season, the German player faced difficulties while trying to adapt to his new club. He faced a lot of criticism from both fans and experts, but Mikel Arteta stood by his side through thick and thin.
Even prior to this match, Arteta had nothing but praise for Havertz, expressing his confidence that the former Chelsea attacker would excel.
Havertz has now scored five goals and provided an assist in 17 Premier League starts. His performances have significantly improved since the start of the year, and it seems like he is slowly regaining his top form.
Rice and Havertz, the two new additions this summer, are anticipated to have a significant impact this season as Arsenal competes fiercely for the title.
Liverpool currently holds the top spot, but with many games remaining, anything can happen. The season is full of surprises and uncertainties, making it difficult to determine the eventual champion, especially after Man City’s recent loss to Chelsea.
Arsenal supporters have every reason to be satisfied with the performances of Rice and Havertz up to this point.
