Liverpool News
Liverpool is set to make an official bid for a highly sought-after player worth £34 million, as per reports. The club is prepared to capitalize on this opportunity and secure the player’s services.
According to Spanish outlet Fichajes, Liverpool is said to be getting ready to present an official offer to acquire the services of Borussia Dortmund’s talented player, Donyell Malen, in the upcoming transfer window.
It has been reported that BVB was willing to sell the Dutchman during the winter window, but no official offer was made, resulting in the deal falling through.
Borussia Dortmund (BVB) had reportedly been willing to sell the Dutchman during the winter transfer window, but no official offer was received, resulting in no deal being finalized.
However, according to a report from Fichajes, Dortmund will now look to capitalize on his sale during the upcoming summer transfer window, aiming to secure the highest possible transfer fee for the 25-year-old forward’s departure.
The report also suggests that Liverpool has expressed a strong interest in acquiring Malen and is preparing to submit an official proposal to entice him to join Anfield for the upcoming season.
Fichajes further states that Dortmund is seeking a fee of approximately £34m to allow the former PSV Eindhoven star to leave, a price that Liverpool should have no trouble matching. Therefore, if the Reds make a concrete approach, they have a good chance of securing the forward’s signature for a reasonable fee.
Liverpool could benefit from the versatility of Malen, who is capable of playing in various positions in the forward line. He possesses speed, technical ability, and the skill to navigate past defenders in tight spaces.
Additionally, he has a keen eye for scoring goals, can create opportunities for his teammates, and demonstrates a strong work ethic even without the ball.
Although Malen is a talented player, his time at Signal Iduna Park since 2021 has been marked by difficulties in converting chances into goals.
This raises doubts about whether he possesses the necessary qualities to contribute to Liverpool’s ambitious goals if he were to join Anfield in the upcoming transfer window.
Hence, Liverpool may consider exploring alternative avenues to strengthen their offensive lineup. Nevertheless, it will be intriguing to witness if the Anfield club ultimately decides to pursue the acquisition of Malen for the upcoming season.
