Tottenham Hotspur: Postecoglou sets sights on three summer acquisitions as transfer specialist discloses failed January signing.

Tottenham has set their sights on three summer deals, with manager Ange Postecoglou targeting Bayern Munich forward Mathys Tel once again after missing out on signing him in January.

The club had a productive winter transfer window, securing the loan signing of Timo Werner from RB Leipzig to strengthen their attacking options, and completing a €30m deal for Romanian centre-back Radu Dragusin from Genoa.

Lucas Bergvall, a promising young player from Djurgardens, is on the verge of completing a move to Tottenham Hotspur today. Despite facing competition from La Liga giants Barcelona, Spurs managed to secure his signature on the deadline day.

Following their recent successes in the transfer market, including the acquisitions of James Maddison, Guglielmo Vicario, and Micky van de Ven, talks have already begun regarding Tottenham’s plans for the upcoming summer transfer window. These players have played crucial roles under the guidance of manager Postecoglou this season.

During the winter transfer window, Tottenham made an attempt to sign Bayern Munich’s talented youngster, Tel. However, Bayern rejected their advances. Nevertheless, according to Sport Bild journalist Christian Falk, there are indications that Spurs will make another move for the forward.

In his Caught Offside column, Falk mentioned that FC Bayern Munich has shown a preference for buying players from England rather than selling their own players there. While they have had success with signings like Harry Kane and Eric Dier, their attempt to acquire Kieran Trippier during the winter transfer window did not work out.

According to Falk, Bayern is now considering a move for Serhou Guirassy from Stuttgart in the upcoming summer transfer window. In this scenario, the club would be open to a loan deal for Mathys Tel, an 18-year-old player. Falk also mentioned that Tottenham Hotspur had previously tried to sign Guirassy in both the summer and winter transfer windows, so it is possible that both clubs could revisit the potential deal in the summer.

Additionally, Falk predicted that Tottenham could be one of the teams interested in signing Odilon Kossouno, the Ivory Coast international currently playing for Bayer Leverkusen, during the summer transfer window.

The highly talented central defender, Odilon Kossouno (23), has caught the attention of several English clubs, including Manchester United and Tottenham, according to a German journalist. Crystal Palace had shown interest in Kossouno last summer, but their €28.5m offer was rejected by Leverkusen. With a contract until 2026, Leverkusen is adamant about not entertaining any offers below €50m from interested clubs.

In addition to Kossouno, Tottenham has also expressed interest in Eintracht Frankfurt winger Omar Marmoush. It is reported that they will need to pay €30m to secure his services in the upcoming summer transfer window. Marmoush, who joined Frankfurt from Wolfsburg on a free transfer last summer, has impressed with seven goals in the Bundesliga. He is under contract until 2027, and other English clubs, namely Newcastle, have also shown interest in him. It is anticipated that any club interested in Marmoush will have to meet the €30m price tag.
